The Lad’s new free ebook, How to Make a Dictionary of All Your Favorite Words, offers a new, easier way to create a dictionary with a few clicks.
The free ebook comes with an impressive list of more than a million words and phrases from the Bible, and the first page features some words that may seem familiar, like “nope,” “fuck,” and “teary-eyed.”
There’s also an entry for “stupid” and “jellyfish.”
The Lad Bible, which is currently available only on Kindle, is available to pre-order for $2.99.
It’s the latest in a long line of free dictionaries that The Lad has published.
In an interview with Publishers Weekly, The Lad explained why he decided to make his dictionary free, and why it has helped him immensely in his work as a translator.
“I’m a dictionary creator.
That’s how I grew up,” he said.
“I used to get a dictionary and read the first sentence out loud.”
But it’s not just about being able to use a dictionary to do your work.
“For me, there’s a certain amount of empathy that comes with having an app that’s free,” he added.
“It’s also like the other thing that makes it more fun to work on a project is you can just use it.”
The dictionary itself is free, but you can also download other useful apps like word search, word completion, and grammar app.
